2008 Sea Trout Trips
SShoot are arranging small limited groups to fish hidden places for sea trout inside the Arctic Circle. In areas of outstanding natural beauty and stunning backdrops these waters present regular catches of between 2 - 4 kilos, with catches recorded annually of 6 – 8 kilos. Sea run Char are also a potential quarry with previous catches of up to 3 kilos. (remember 1 kilo = 2.2lbs).
The fishing is presented in a variety of small rivers, still waters, and salt water, testing ones techniques, and is perfect for the real sea trout enthusiast.
Weather permitting the fishing is accessed by a 30- 40 minute boat journey along the fjord in 18 & 19 ft boats. In the event of adverse weather conditions these locations are accessible by road, and a walk of between 30 mins to 1 hour depending on the chosen waters of the day. The beauty of fishing such hidden locations is that it is only available to a few that know.
We shall only be running 3 trips to this location in the 2007 season incorporating a maximum group of only 4 persons, one of which has already been booked up. Flights will be arranged from the UK and Ireland with connections to Bodo in Nordland, Norway. From there on a fast ferry journey (catamaran) of approx 1 hour amongst stunning scenery in one of Norway’s most picturesque Fjords, we will deliver you to your accommodation.
We have a choice of 2 self catering accommodations comprising of both basic and comfortable facilities with option 2 being the more luxurious. Both are located on the waterfront with accessible views over the harbour and fjord, also with access to a supermarket and small bar. Rods, reels and lines will be provided courtesy of SShoot and Backwinder, which will be yours to keep at the end of your holiday. Full time guiding will also be included, limited to 8 hours per day.
As it is our aim to present you with the best opportunities we prefer to keep these locations as hidden places for those dedicated Sea Trout fishermen amongst you, and therefore ask for your discretion, following your trip, for your own benefit as well as others travelling with us. Thank You in advance.
